BRING HER A SURPRISE
Small gestures can really help a mom through a tough day. Pick up a small bouquet of flowers or her favorite drink from Starbucks and drop if off to her.
DO HER GROCERY SHOPPING
Well maybe an entire shop would be overwhelming but if you're headed out to the store and you live close by, text or call her to see if she needs anything. There's nothing more stressful than waking up and realizing you've run out of your kid's favorite food or drink.
OFFER TO BABYSIT
This is the best way to give your mama friend some much needed time to herself, even if it's only for an hour. For moms with newborns, offer to come over and watch the baby so she can take a shower or eat a nice hot meal. If your friend has older children, take them out to ice cream or to a movie so mom can have a few hours of downtime to recharge.
No matter how you decide to support her remember to always follow through with your commitment and be consistent with your help.
If you're reading this as the mom who needs support don't be afraid to ask for it. Of course you can "get through it" on your own but why? Your friends want to help you. Reach out and ask for what you need. You're not alone.
